My Boy

My baby woke up with a terrible rash on his face that made his eyes puffy.
His right ear is red.
His cheeks are splotchy and irritated. Katherine has now informed me that the Nursery workers put Suntan lotion on their faces yesterday and I didn't wash their faces before they went to bed. They both had a wipe down after dinner but of course Sun tan lotion is waterproof for those long days at the pool. He now has cream on his face and a dose of Benadryl. This slight discomfort has not slowed him down at all.

Single parenting

I have been a single parent for five days now. My heart goes out to all of you that have to do this all the time. Getting up when the little one calls instead of being able to push on your other half to go take care of it. Feeding and preparing every single meal and cleaning up after ALL messes. Constantly having child talk in the car no one sitting there listening to the events of the day or how you honestly feel about a situation. You know, those after the event talks where you say what you really wanted to say. Trying to get dressed and no one but your little 3 yr old to comment on how good your outfit looks or doesn't look. She by the way is in a phase where only Princess dress up clothes look beautiful and I certainly can't go out like that with my 3 month pregnant belly. Which is another area that sucks being single. No one to cry to, complain to, or just say I am not feeling well will you just please do...
Overall I have been blessed by a ton of God's grace. It alone is what i can boast in if anyone thinks I did a great job while my hubby was away. That and my frineds who have been more then graqcious as they have let us sleep at their houses, eat at their tables and given me a break from the kids for a couple of hours.
HE comes home today and I just feel better today knowing that. He will be greeted with hugs and kisses that will overtake him as if he had been overseas for months. Seeing his sweet smile and going to sleep with someone that warms the other half of the bed will be heaven.
