Swimming lessons- Day 7
Swimming lessons
Katherine finished two weeks of swimming lessons and is a little fish. She loved it and really LOVED her instructor, John.
Waiting as they tell her who her instructor is
She will follow Jon, follow him wherever he will go-Can't you here the song. She fell for this guy hard. I would venture to say it was her first real crush.
She was always quick to answer any question or try first.
I know it is blurry but they asked us to wait on the other side of the glass
Blowing bubbles
This was her first day

Our potted garden
Katherine and I have been talking about a garden for at least two months. We decided to plant after vacation but then vacation was moved to June. With it being so hot here in Ga I thought we should wait until after our new vacay to plant. We got home last Saturday and this Saturday we went to Home Depot and got started. Being 7 months pregnant we took somewhat of an easy road and got organic peatpot plants. We were able to put them right into the soil and the kids are enjoying watering and picking some of our herbs. Larry put Cilantro in his salad today for work.
The best part of our trip to The home Depot was the rain. We were outside at the Nursery and the rain started pouring. Evan, Katherine, and their friend Hannah ran around and got soaked! They were laughing and splashing and just having a great time.
Planting our Basil-for fresh omlettes!!
That is the peatpot-this is a great invention.

I don't know if you can tell but Katherine is having a hard time here letting Evan have his turn. From above it looks sweet but any mom knows that sharing the beloved watering can hurts!!
This is our Zucchini squash

Great Weather
We have been having wonderful weather here in GA. The breeze has been blowing and it is cool in the Am and Pm. Friday, I took the kids to the park with some friends and ate lunch in a great little Cafe within walking distance of the park. After Larry got home we went to Felinni's for Pizza and hung out with all the other kids at the fountain until about 8pm. Family time like that causes my heart to just overflow with love and contentment.

Vacation
We are home and I have a total of 5 pictures and one video. What were we thinking????????? I guess with all of the lathering, toys, towels, food and other paraphanalia we couldn't add one more thing. The day we left I saw the camera and decided what kind of vacation is it without some pics and took a few just so I wouldn't feel so guilty. I did however have time to journal about all that we did and I am so thankful as I look back over the week. We had so many wonderful times and it was very relaxing. The last two vacations we took I ended up crying by the third day. It wasn't vacation it was just relocation! This time I tried to really prepare myself so that I wouldn't have too high expectations and it went great. We all got a little bit of sun lots of exercise, desserts galore and precious family time that gives me strength on the hard days.
Hopefully my sister-in-law will send me some more pics so I can post them. For now you can just imagine-Beautiful white sand, Egrets, walks along paths with trees filled with spanish moss, Seafood made fresh right in front of you, and laughs with the family that warm my heart. My little boy fascinated with bikes so much so that he sat just watching them ride all around Harbourtown, My sweet girl making friends with everyone she meets and trying her hardest to swim, by herself.
Most of all my husband!! He was so attentive and present the whole week. Laughing, playing, cooking, cleaning, bathing the kids, all of the things he did that make us the team that we are. I love you Baby!!

Art in the backyard
Today I felt like a really good mom. Most days there are the struggles that keep me feeling like I could do so much better, but today was great. It all ended with the kids playing int he backyard while I fixed dinner. They were so content to color, paint and play in the sand. They continued to play until it was time for baths which were needed because Katherine decided to paint herself.
I am so grateful for our backyard, even though there are tons of mosquito's, the shade cover and privacy is wonderful.
