Nap time

She received this canopy for her birthday and it took Daddy and I a few weeks to get it set up. She got creative! She used an old screw in the wall that used to hold her shelf and connected her canopy to it. Made a little comfy area inside and took a nap.

Feeding the Ducks

This pond is full of fun. We have different things to look for each season. Now is the time for baby ducks. In all we have seen 12 baby ducks born in the last two months. We take the ends of our loaves and feed the ducks and geese. the kids also love to be quiet and listen for the bullfrogs talk to one another.

These are the new little baby ducks, seven in all.
Sean was very intent on watching these cute little ducks.

Sprinkler

Waiting for Daddy to turn on the water.
I was really hoping to get an action shot.
Evan is very proud of his Surfer Dude Shorts.
We have had so much rain here in the SouthEast that the water ban has been lifted and the Summer fun has begun!!

Strawberry pickin' 09

On Saturday morning we passed the Strawberry Field as we drove home from the Chiropractor. I had been trying to get out there but with all the rain here in GA it has been tough. It was partly cloudy and had rained buckets in the night but the kids were very convincing and since I had my camera it was a go! It was overcast and the breeze made the event quite enjoyable. We ate a lot and froze the rest we have had a couple of smoothies already and look forward to the blueberry pickin' in July!

Birthday Girls

In the years to come I think I am really going to treasure our special day. Right now it is all about the cards(with money), Birthday party and friends she has. One day she will want to be with me and we will share our day and celebrate. She is five and I can't believe it. We are very similar and very different but we are a team. She is fun to watch as she plays with her brothers. This year we each had special events near our birthday. My mom surprised me with a night out with my girlfriends and Katherine had her ballet recital the night before her birthday. We had a night out with the family and Larry took me out by myself the night of my birthday. She will have a party next Saturday with her friends and I get to go away all by myself for a night this month!! I love you my firstborn and even though times might be a little tough right now I look forward to the day we call one another friend!

Dance Recital

Katherine performed in her first ballet recital this weekend. It was extra special because it was her birthday weekend. After she performed Nana, Papa, Chad, Teeny and Katie all went to dinner with us. We had special dessert and opened presents. I was so proud of our girl. She was clearly a leader in the group and knew exactly where to go and what to do throughout the song.
After her dress rehearsal they had individual photos taken of the girls. They each chose a post ot have in the photo and this is the one Katherine picked. I was VERY pleased.

Frogs

Last week as we were playing in our new backyard. Evan found a frog under his bike and Katherine played with it for HOURS. With her freshly painted nails and her cute dress she had more fun with that frog. She used an old Chalk box and made a habitat for this little frog. She of course didn't know what a habitat was before this day but through living life, we learn!
Later that afternoon I had her release the frog and within a few days she found another one. This frog even went on a trip to Nana's and was released in her front yard. Hope it found some new friends ;)

Book time

We love to read books around here. We go to story time at the library regularly and each afternoon before naps we read to help settle down. Sean has started turning the pages and is so proud of his new trick.

Eight months old & Two Front Teeth

This face gets me every time. He is so cute I kiss his face constantly. He has been a breath of fresh air amidst the training I am doing with the other two. Being a mom has its moments but when they smile and laugh like this my heart melts.
Sean's two front teeth have finally started to come in. The left was first and now the right. He has been handling it really well. He started sleeping through the night right before the teeth came in so we are still working towards the goal of at least 10 hours straight. Close, just off by a few hours due to a little medicinal aid to help his hurting gums.

We are Seeing things

Evan waited patiently for his bottle top to dry.
Yesterday it rained most of the day and this is what we made. We used things around the house like beads, rubberbands, ribbon and water. We put them in small water bottles and sealed them tight. Katherine's favorite part was using the hot glue gun to seal the bottles shut.
