Easter 2008
Christmas 2008
It is amazing to me how much things can change in a year. You can see it so much in pictures. My kids have gotten so big and look we added another one. Amazing all we had to celebrate at this year end!

So Behind!

I have so many events I want to blog about that happened this Christmas. We had such a wonderful time doing so many different things. The whole month was full of parties, dinners, and Shopping! I think one of my favorite things that happened was the weekend I was able to spend with Larry at the beginning of December. We went shopping for family gifts and spent the day just walking hand in hand, laughing and eating. I love him so much and it is days like that where I feel like we are falling in love all over again.
My favorite times with the kids happened as we sat around the kitchen table doing Christmas crafts. S'more snowmen, Reindeer and glitter snowflakes.
Pictures were taken, memories were made but most of all we were together, healthy and able to celebrate the end of a tough year! He was faithful to carry us through it all and we can look back and see His faithfulness in all situations. Our investment house sold, our baby boy is our sweet miracle baby, we were able to grow with a community of believers and find a new place of loving one another and best of all we (Larry and I) will be celebrating our 6th anniversary in January.

Family Christmas Party

This is my Mom and Aunt Carol. She is just wonderful and spent special time with the kids telling them stories as I nursed the baby before we left. "Pay the Rent" was a favorite for both kids.

Every year since I was a little girl we have gone to my Aunts houses to celebrate either Gram's birthday or Christmas Eve. I have loved carrying on this tradition with my kids. We have gone to my Aunts house and to Larry's brothers house this year for Christmas parties. Katherine got a new party dress to wear at each of the events and she beamed the whole night.

Christmas Tree

S'more Snowmen

The kids and I made Christmas gifts this year. We made s'more snowmen ornaments. It took us about an hour or so and it was a perfect gift that all three of us could do. Beads, cardboard, chimney pipes and the result a fun thing for family to remember the kids by each Christmas.
While we worked on ornaments Daddy cleaned his phone with scratch free cleaner and he was happy as a clam. You can see his phone on the end of the table.

Grandmother's Christmas party

December 13th Larry took all three kids with him to his Mom's assisted living home. My sister-in-law had set up a morning of food and caroling. Other homeschooling students came and performed for the ladies in the home. They all loved having the kids around- if you look at my kids shirts they are the ones I made with my friend Becca.

Daddy Times

This is one of THE best moments this Christmas. Larry had finished trimming the tree and started playing with the kids outside. They were playing tag, running around and he pushed them on this bike. He was running fast through the leaves taking turns with each of them. Then the kids decided that they wanted to push Daddy...and this is what happened. It looks like Katherine is actually pushing him through the leaves. He is so good with them and always gets them laughing.

O Christmas Tree

Today Larry has trimmed the tree and it is ready for us to decorate. The weather is not going to get above fifty today, perfect day to set up a tree. The Christmas music is playing and I have a pot of chili simmering on the stove. My hubby and kids are playing outside and having a blast and it warms my heart to have been so blessed by the Father! Pictures to come soon!!

Happy Birthday Baby!!

Larry, I love you so much! I am so thankful for you and the blessing you are to our family. We haven't been together too long but the years have made my life so much better. Your tenderness and love for us is shown by the things you do everyday. Playing with the kids, telling me you love me, washing dishes and most of all being a man after God's own heart! I hope that you have a great day today and we look forward to celebrating YOU tonight when you get home from work. Happy Birthday Baby!!

We love the Mooney's

A couple of weeks ago the Mooney's came over to visit. We had a wonderful time eating, playing and going outside in the leaves. Elisha has just learned how to walk and it is so much fun seeing those little feet carry her all around. Katherine is so good with little kids and she takes care of Elisha whenever she comes over.

This survey has brought me to tears!

I was reading the post from Beth over at LPM blog and it has really got my attention. Before I read the questions I started to answer them and as I wrote I just began to tear up. The enemy is wreaking havoc on my life and I am taking it very lightly! Lord, help me press into your heart for me so that I can get victory in the area of my insecurities.

Christmas in our rooms

When I grew up we had a three bedroom ranch and five kids. The girls shared a room, the boys shared a room and we had the basement as our playground. I have so many wonderful memories from that time in my life. Mom stayed home with us and the house was where we spent most of our time. From sliding down the basement stairs on our sleeping bags to the popcorn bin full of Mcdonald's toys to snuggling in tight with family at the Holidays, I long to have those times again. In an effort to build that same type of atmosphere here in our house I stay home with my kids and invest in them through everyday life and special times like the holidays.

Monday we brought down the boxes from the attic. We hung our stockings, played Christmas music and decorated their little Christmas trees in their room. My Dad and Mom always let us put lights up in our rooms and I can almost smell and feel what it was like laying there dreaming of all the fun we would have Christmas day. I hope that Katherine and Evan have those same thoughts one day.
