Weekend with the Siestas

Sunday I was able to meet up with a few special people that I have met in Blogger land. We all planned to meet up for a special concert in Woodstock with Travis Cottrell. His special guests were Beth Moore and Cindy Morgan. We met for lunch that was wonderfully catered by a lady who even put our life verses on snacks for us to take with us!! As we were eating chocolate covered goodies we had a special guest arrive at our luncheon. Bethie herself!! We were all so surprised because we were told in would most likely not happen. She was just as wonderful as I had imagined and so genuine. I almost came to tears but then told myself. She is just like everybody else...be normal! She hugged on alot of us and told us how special we were to her and the ministry and there wasn't anybody she wanted to see more then her...Siestas!! We got a great group picture that I am trying to get from one of the other ladies. Should post soon!
After eating, we waited in line to get our seats for the concert. It was worth it because we were all in the first four rows and had a blast seeing even more of our bloggie friends. Bigmama, Boomama, Ga Jan, Shelly and The Governor!! Yes you read that right, I met Sonny Perdue and just had a ball.
We then got our praise on and let me just say, you will WANT this Cd when it comes out. All of the songs are just WORD and you can't help but sense the Holy Spirit all around when the Truth is being sung. I think my favorite part of the night is when Bethie came over to our side of the stage and worshipped with her Siestas. She caught eye contact with all of us to let us know she had purposefully joined us in worshipping our Lord and Savior!!
I came home so excited I had a hard time going to sleep and just basked in the rest of the day Monday.

Big props to my man, for taking all three kids from 12:30 to 10pm. two bottles, two meals, naps and house church at our house and the kids were all alive, asleep and in their beds when I got home! Love you Baby, thank you so much!!

His first meal

Not sure how to swallow yet.

First Bite

This was actually supposed to be first. He was looking at it and his arms were moving because he was so excited.

My baby is geting so big. He is in 6-12month clothes and had his first banana Thursday. I knew he wanted to eat because we were sitting at the table eating lunch and hes was fussin' at em in hsi swing. If you know my baby he is never fussy, unless he is hungry or wants to go to bed. I asked him if he wanted to eat and he got the biggest smile in hsi face and started kicking his legs. So, I put him in his Bumbo and the first feeding began. I did make the mistake of giving him two feedings of mashed banana and needless to say we had a rough nite of sleep.
***I don't know what is wrong with blogger but it is loading my pictures from last to first and then it won't let me move around what i wrote...so frustrating.

Diaper cake

This is the cake Nichole made-sorry for the angle
We had Chicken salad crossaints, banana bread, fruit, quiche, cake and cheesecake.

The House church ladies hosted a Baby shower at my house last weekend and I made my first diaper cake. It was so much fun. The kids and I watched ratatoullie as we rubberbands to tiw all all 50 diapers together. The end result was picture worthy and I would love to make another one.

Face book

Oh my Goodness. I had no idea the amount of time I would spend on FB. It is so much fun for this social girl. I have two albums and update my status regularly. I am sure the fun will wear off in a week or so but for now I spend a lot of my time there. I also find that after all teh pics that were taken around the Holidays I haven't been grabbing my camera as much. Life seems to be pretty "normal" around here adn nothing exciting to post. Uness of course you want to see teh enw recipes I have made or see katherine change her clothes three times a day. Lord, help me!

Anway, for now I am updating with words but I will have pics soon. I have updates Christmas photos in the month of DDecember though so go back and take a look.

New year, Fresh start

It is interesting to me how we all feel like the slate has been swept clean at the start of the new year. As I have been talking with those in our church and seeking my own heart about what I should resolve to do this new year I find myself being challenged by the Lord. He is stirring in my heart to revisit all of the scriptures that talk about His mercies that are new and his forgiveness that is given as soon as we are repentant. He is always encouraging us to come boldly before the throne of grace. But somehow we feel like we can really take hold of it at the start of a new year. It is available all of the time every moment of every day and the best part is He is the most righteous judge and what we would hold ourselves bound to He has forgiven and released us from the moment we spoke to Him about it. He is so good and I am going to press into His heavenly thinking about me and what He has for me each day not just the start of each year!

Couldn't do it!!

The Barbie CD player with two microphones was a HIT!

Okay my baby girl is just too cute for that other picture to be the first one any one sees.

just a post

Katherine took pictures of herself and the family this Christmas. I don't particularly like this one but she is very proud of her pictures she took!
Evan was asleep in the car a lot this Christmas. This was on our way home from the Pink Pig.
Sean is 4 months today and I have been holding him more as I see how much he is growing. He is so cute and interactive as he discovers faces, toys and his hands.

Easter 2008
Christmas 2008
It is amazing to me how much things can change in a year. You can see it so much in pictures. My kids have gotten so big and look we added another one. Amazing all we had to celebrate at this year end!

So Behind!

I have so many events I want to blog about that happened this Christmas. We had such a wonderful time doing so many different things. The whole month was full of parties, dinners, and Shopping! I think one of my favorite things that happened was the weekend I was able to spend with Larry at the beginning of December. We went shopping for family gifts and spent the day just walking hand in hand, laughing and eating. I love him so much and it is days like that where I feel like we are falling in love all over again.
My favorite times with the kids happened as we sat around the kitchen table doing Christmas crafts. S'more snowmen, Reindeer and glitter snowflakes.
Pictures were taken, memories were made but most of all we were together, healthy and able to celebrate the end of a tough year! He was faithful to carry us through it all and we can look back and see His faithfulness in all situations. Our investment house sold, our baby boy is our sweet miracle baby, we were able to grow with a community of believers and find a new place of loving one another and best of all we (Larry and I) will be celebrating our 6th anniversary in January.

Family Christmas Party

This is my Mom and Aunt Carol. She is just wonderful and spent special time with the kids telling them stories as I nursed the baby before we left. "Pay the Rent" was a favorite for both kids.

Every year since I was a little girl we have gone to my Aunts houses to celebrate either Gram's birthday or Christmas Eve. I have loved carrying on this tradition with my kids. We have gone to my Aunts house and to Larry's brothers house this year for Christmas parties. Katherine got a new party dress to wear at each of the events and she beamed the whole night.

Christmas Tree

S'more Snowmen

The kids and I made Christmas gifts this year. We made s'more snowmen ornaments. It took us about an hour or so and it was a perfect gift that all three of us could do. Beads, cardboard, chimney pipes and the result a fun thing for family to remember the kids by each Christmas.
While we worked on ornaments Daddy cleaned his phone with scratch free cleaner and he was happy as a clam. You can see his phone on the end of the table.

Grandmother's Christmas party

December 13th Larry took all three kids with him to his Mom's assisted living home. My sister-in-law had set up a morning of food and caroling. Other homeschooling students came and performed for the ladies in the home. They all loved having the kids around- if you look at my kids shirts they are the ones I made with my friend Becca.
